My revised topic for my vanguard

After having a class discussion about each person's project, and after all of the good ideas that everyone came up with, I am going to change up my project a little. I have decided to stick with the theme of a documentary of my life, but instead of having pictures of just my son Jayden, I will be in a lot of the pictures too. I am going to take pictures of me, and him. Some of the pictures that I hope to capture are when we are both having a great time, when we are having a bad time, for example when he won't stop crying and I am going nuts, ready to kill someone. I also hope to get pictures of us when we go out for dinner with his dad, pictures of me rushing around going from high school, to work, to home, to college. This is going to be a little bit of a challenge, but I can't wait to see my finished product!

This is another one of my Vanguard photo's. I really liked this photo because it kind of expresses him in his calm, concentrating, state of mind. It also seems like he's reading, or learning something new.

Unit two questions

1. This series is about young girls, and how they think that they are to fat. This shows photographs of the girls, and their disorders. ie. anorexia
2. This came about when the photographer Lauren Greenfeild became interested in the youth culture of girls.
3.This is a journalistic series.
4. Yes, I am uncomfortable with the thought that girls would actually go to this level, just to be "thin".
5. I would take pictures of the girls after they had been through the rehab part of this disorder, to show the difference.
6. Yes, my close friend natalie was, and is still recieving help for this disorder, of anorexia.

my topic for vanguard

My Vanguard project is going to be a documentary of my life, and how it is different than most others my age. I will include mostly pictures of my son Jayden. These pictures will include him when he is playing, when he is taking his bath, eating, crying, sleeping, pretty much just random pictures of him during the day. I will also do a series of pictures that show his daily routines. On top of that I will include pictures at work, at college, at school, and family pictures. I'm not quite sure yet, but i think that I will do moslty digital, but I will also throw in some black and white. I am really looking forward to this project, and I can't waite to get going on it a little more!
